International Conference Time Continuum 5 - 6 September 2019 Imperia, Italy
The summer school and conference “Time-Continuum” focus on the philosophy of time and more precisely on the topic of temporal continuity. The following questions will be addressed within the week:
Does time have a continuous structure? If yes, how is temporal continuity to be understood?
How does the continuity differ from that of space?
Can formal mathematical models of the continuum help us understanding temporal continuity?
What do contemporary physical theories have to say about temporal continuity?
What consequences do particular understandings of temporal continuity have for a temporal ontology
